Funded sports betting is a newer model, and not every firm is run the same way. Before you buy a challenge anywhere, including BetFunder, check these eight things.

1. Are the rules published in full before you pay?

You should be able to read the profit target, loss limits, stake limits and time limits before checkout. If rules only appear after purchase, walk away.

2. Are the loss limits clearly defined?

"Drawdown" can be measured in different ways. A good firm explains exactly how the daily and overall limits are calculated, with examples.

3. Is the fee one-time or recurring?

Know whether you pay once or monthly, and whether resets cost extra. BetFunder challenges are a one-time fee per attempt.

4. What are the payout terms?

Check the profit split, how often you can withdraw, any minimum payout and what verification is required.

5. Is there a refund policy?

Read it before you buy so there are no surprises. See ours on the Refund Policy page.

6. Who can join?

Reputable firms publish age and location requirements clearly. Ours are on the Eligibility page.

7. Can you reach support?

Send a question before you buy. A fast, clear answer is a good sign. Our team is at Contact.

8. Do the numbers make sense?

Be wary of promises that sound too good, such as guaranteed passes or huge splits with no rules. A funded account is a skill test with real limits.

Red flags

  • Rules hidden until after payment
  • Vague or changing payout conditions
  • No company or contact details
  • Pressure tactics, such as countdown timers on every page
