Sports Betting Profit Splits Explained
How profit splits work on funded sports betting accounts, what an 80% split means in dollars, and how payouts every 14 days work.
A profit split is the share of profits you keep from a funded account. It is the core of how funded sports betting works: you provide the skill, the firm provides the account, and you share the results.
How the split works
Once you pass a BetFunder challenge, you receive a funded account. You can keep up to 80% of eligible profits from that account. The remainder stays with BetFunder.
An example in dollars
Say you are funded on a $10,000 account and grow it to $11,000 over a payout period. That is $1,000 of profit. At an 80% split, your share is $800.
How often you get paid
BetFunder payouts can be requested every 14 days. See how the process works on our Payouts page.
What affects your payout
- Eligible profit: only profit that meets the payout rules counts.
- Staying inside the rules: funded accounts still have loss limits. Breaching them ends the account.
- Consistency: steady growth over many payout periods beats one big spike.
Why a split instead of your own bankroll?
With your own money, a losing month costs you real cash. On a funded account, your cost is the one-time challenge fee, and you never deposit a bankroll. That is the main trade-off, and the reason many disciplined bettors prefer the model. Read our comparison of sports betting vs funded sports betting.
