BetFunder offers three challenge formats. They lead to the same funded account, but they get you there in different ways. Picking the right one comes down to how you like to bet and how much you want to pay up front.

The three formats at a glance

  • 1-Phase: one evaluation with a 20% profit target and a 15% maximum overall loss.
  • 2-Phase: two evaluations, with a 15% target in phase one and 10% in phase two, and a 20% maximum overall loss.
  • 3-Phase: three evaluations at 10% each, with a 20% maximum overall loss.

All three share a 10% daily loss limit, a 30-day limit per phase and the same funded account at the end, with up to an 80% profit split.

Fees by format

Fewer phases cost more because you get funded faster. On a $10,000 account, the fee is $199 for 1-Phase, $149 for 2-Phase and $99 for 3-Phase. Every price is on our Challenges page.

1-Phase: fastest route, tightest margin

One phase means you can be funded within a single month. The trade-off is a big target (20%) with a smaller loss buffer (15%). You need to grow the account by more than you are allowed to lose.

Best for: experienced bettors with a tracked, consistent edge who want to get funded quickly.

2-Phase: the balanced option

The first phase asks for 15%, the second for 10%, and you have a wider 20% loss buffer throughout. It takes longer, but each target is more reachable and one bad week is less likely to end your attempt.

Best for: most bettors, especially on a first challenge.

3-Phase: lowest fee, smallest targets

Each phase needs only 10%, and the loss buffer is 20%, so the margin for error in each phase is the largest of the three. You have to stay consistent across three separate months.

Best for: steady, lower-variance bettors and anyone who wants the cheapest entry.

How to decide

  • If your realistic monthly return is below 15%, avoid 1-Phase.
  • If you tend to have big swings, the 20% loss buffer of 2-Phase or 3-Phase gives you more room.
  • If fee matters most, 3-Phase is the cheapest at every account size.
  • If time matters most, 1-Phase is the fastest.
