How to Choose Your Funded Betting Account Size
$1K, $5K, $10K or $50K? How to pick the right funded sports betting account size based on your experience, budget and betting style.
BetFunder accounts range from $1,000 to $50,000 in simulated capital. A bigger account means bigger potential payouts, but also a higher fee and more pressure. Here is how to choose.
The rules scale with the account
Profit targets and loss limits are percentages, so they work the same at every size. A 20% target is $200 on a $1,000 account and $10,000 on a $50,000 account. Your skill requirement does not change; the stakes and the fee do.
What each size costs
Fees start at $19 for a $1K 3-Phase challenge and go up to $699 for a $50K 1-Phase challenge. For example, a $10K account costs $99 (3-Phase), $149 (2-Phase) or $199 (1-Phase). See every price on the Challenges page.
Start small if this is your first challenge
On a first attempt, you are learning how the rules feel day to day: how quickly the daily limit approaches, how it feels to be behind pace. A $1K to $5K account lets you learn that for a small fee.
Size up once you have passed
Because the rules scale, a bettor who passes a $5K challenge has proven the same skills needed for $25K or $50K. Many bettors pass small, then move up.
Match the size to the fee you are comfortable losing
The honest question is: if this attempt fails, will the fee bother you? If yes, choose a smaller account. Pressure leads to forced picks, which leads to failed challenges.
Quick guide
- $1K to $2.5K: first challenge, learning the rules, lowest cost.
- $5K to $10K: some challenge experience and a tracked record.
- $25K to $50K: you have passed before and want larger payouts.
